This high-contrast black-and-white photograph transforms a mundane underground parking garage into a brutalist, phantasmagoric landscape. The concrete structures, with their massive, anvil-shaped pillars, repeat endlessly in an almost suffocating symmetry. The visual treatment is radical: The whites are blown out, creating blinding light sources that seem to devour the material. The blacks are deep, turning architectural nooks into absolute voids. The grain and textures of the image add an organic dimension, as if the scene were extracted from an old surveillance film or a degraded memory. Between a liminal space and a dystopian sci-fi set, the image captures a heavy silence, where the absence of humans becomes almost palpable.
