About this work
This third image pushes the aesthetic towards dramatic minimalism in pure black and white. Here’s what sets it apart from the previous ones: Black and White: By eliminating any trace of color (the powdered pink is gone), the image focuses exclusively on shapes and values. The contrast is pushed to its maximum, creating a striking "chiaroscuro" effect. Texture and Details: Without color to distract the eye, the crumpled paper-like aspect of the petals is heightened. Every fold, every tear, and every shadow becomes a strong graphic element, almost mineral. Simplicity: Unlike the first two versions, the frame no longer displays any signs of wear or "vintage" stains. The background is an absolute and deep black, giving the impression that the rose is floating in a timeless void. Emotion: The rendering is more austere and solemn. We move away from nostalgic memory to enter into an almost architectural study of decomposition. It’s a very graphic version, where the rose becomes a true sculpture of light and shadow.
